CASL Compliance
๐ GoJumbo is fully compliant with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
What is CASL?
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) is one of the strictest anti-spam laws in the world. It governs the sending of commercial electronic messages (CEMs) โ including SMS, email, and messaging apps โ to Canadian recipients.
How GoJumbo Operates Under CASL
Our AI agents only respond โ they never initiate cold outreach. Every conversation starts because the customer contacts the business first.
GoJumbo's platform is designed with CASL compliance at its core:
- Consent-first: Our agents only respond to inbound messages โ customers initiate contact voluntarily
- No cold messaging: We do not send unsolicited commercial messages to any recipient
- Clear identification: Every AI agent clearly identifies itself as a virtual assistant, not a human
- Easy opt-out: Customers can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP
- Business information: Our clients' business name and contact information is available to all users
Client Responsibilities Under CASL
Businesses using GoJumbo services are responsible for:
- Obtaining express or implied consent before initiating contact with their customers
- Maintaining records of consent
- Honouring opt-out requests promptly (within 10 business days)
- Including unsubscribe mechanisms in any outbound campaigns
- Not using GoJumbo for unsolicited bulk messaging
STOP / Opt-Out Handling
GoJumbo automatically honours opt-out requests:
- SMS: Replying STOP immediately stops all messages from that number
- WhatsApp: Users can block the number at any time
- Voice: Callers can ask to be removed from callback lists
Data Handling Under PIPEDA
Personal information collected through our services (name, phone number, service interest) is handled in compliance with PIPEDA. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
